Instagram Tips

Turn your Instagram into a booking funnel. Every share button on InkFronts gives you a deep link straight to a piece — pair that with a Story link sticker and your followers can tap once to book.

Share a flash piece as a Story with a clickable link

This is the highest-converting move on Instagram. Followers see the artwork, tap a sticker, land directly on the booking modal for that exact piece. Five steps:

  1. 1

Open your storefront on your phone

Pull up your shop URL in Safari — inkfronts.com/shop/your-slug. You'll see your flash gallery just like your clients do.

  2. 2

Tap a flash piece you want to promote

The flash detail modal opens with the artwork, title, price, and duration. This is what your followers will see when they tap your link sticker.

  3. 3

Tap the share button (top-right of the modal)

iPhone shows the system share sheet with just the URL — no extra text to clean up. The link includes an artist anchor, so even on a multi-artist shop, recipients land with your work front-and-center.

  4. 4

Copy the link (or share it directly to Notes)

Either tap Copy on the share sheet, or send it to Apple Notes / your clipboard manager — whatever's fastest. The URL is now on your clipboard.

  5. 5

Open Instagram, create a Story with the flash image, add a Link sticker, paste the URL

Take a screenshot of the flash, or use the image from your camera roll. In Stories, tap the sticker icon → choose Link → paste the URL → tap Done. Drag the sticker somewhere prominent. Post.

Share your whole storefront (not a specific piece)

For general announcements — “books are open,” new flash drop, convention schedules — link to your storefront root instead of one piece.

Use your shop URL directly

inkfronts.com/shop/your-slug is your storefront. Drop it into a Link sticker the same way as a flash link. Followers land on the gallery and can browse everything.

Pin it to your bio link

Instagram only allows one clickable link in your bio. Make it your shop URL — not a Linktree, not your email. Every tap from your profile becomes a chance to book.

Tips that actually move bookings

Tell viewers to tap the sticker

Most people don't notice link stickers. Add a text overlay like “tap to book” or an arrow pointing at the sticker. Sounds obvious; doubles taps in practice.

Make the sticker prominent

Drag it to the lower-third where viewers' thumbs naturally land. Don't hide it in a corner. The default sticker color blends into busy artwork — try the colored variants by tapping the sticker repeatedly until you find one that pops.

Reels and Feed posts can't link

Instagram doesn't allow clickable links in Feed captions or Reels descriptions. For those formats, drive viewers to your bio link with “link in bio” in the caption — and make sure your bio link is your shop URL.

Save Stories as Highlights

Stories disappear after 24 hours. If a flash drop is still live, save the Story to a Highlight (e.g., “Available Flash”) so the link stays tappable. Highlights live on your profile permanently.

Multi-piece drops

Posting a sheet of new flash? Make one Story per piece, each with its own link sticker pointing to that exact piece. Followers can tap through each one and pick what they want — way better conversion than a single Story linking to your whole gallery.

Why links matter on Instagram

Instagram intentionally makes it hard to leave the app — Reels and Feed can't link out, comments don't auto-link, even Stories link stickers were behind a follower threshold for years. The Story link sticker is now available to everyone, and it's the single best way to send Instagram traffic anywhere off-platform. Use it.
